PROFES 2019

The 20th edition of PROFES conference was held in Barcelona, Spain, from November 27 to 29, 2019. PROFES, the International Conference on Product-Focused Software Process Improvement, is among the top-notch software development and process improvement conferences.
The 20th edition of PROFES was organitzed by the GESSI research group. It was held in the UPC, Barcelona, from November 27 to 29, 2019.
Keynote speakers:
- Neil Maiden presented "Intertwining Creative and Design Thinking Processes for Software Products"
- Jennifer Nerlich presented "Survive with Open Source in the rich man‘s world"
Tutorials:
- DevOps Practices by Nicolas Paez,
- Benefitting from Grey Literature in Software Engineering Research by Michael Felderer, Vahid Garous, Mika Mäntylä, Austen Rainer
- Hands-on Data Preparation by Andreas Jedlitschka, Julien Siebert
Previous to the conference we held:
- Two workshops: 3rd International Workshop on Managing Quality in Agile and Rapid Software Development Processes (QuASD) and 4th International Workshop on Human Factors in Software Processes (HuFo)
- The Industry Day (program) to give the opportunity to interested companies to present some aspect of their work (way of working, a concrete product, etc.) related to the topics of the conference. Also to put in contact academics and practitioners that may be interested in share experiences and look for synergies and even concrete collaborations.
